1. Fitness Fitbit Alta Review (Best Seller)
After years and years in the business, Fitbit is still the leader in the fitness band category. Their products give a lot of features, are packed in lovely design, and Fitbit offers excellent quality and reliable support. Fitbit is one of their most sold items, which is actually a bestseller, user’s favorite and favored on tons of tech and fitness websites.
With the price of somewhere around $120 it is one of the priciest fitness bands, but no one can argue the quality and the features you’ll get for the money.
At its core, this fitness band has 5 unique and highly functional features:
- It can track anything related to activity
- gives the ability to see the stats on a beautiful OLED display that works on taps
- gives ability to set up alarms
- has a sleep tracing feature
- you can easily change colors
- and most interestingly it can show notifications of your calls, calendar and text if you have the phone close to you.
One of the key features of the Alta is the ability to send you reminders and motivation to always do your best when you are not active. In that sense, it will keep you active all the time.
With the tracking of your sleep with one of the industry’s best sleeping tracker, it will also enable you to improve your sleep much better when compared to others.
Surprisingly, with all of those features, the Fitbit Alta can still squeeze in 5 days of battery life.
However, some users said that there are flaws in the step count accuracy. Others have had problems with the registration of activity, as sometimes the Fitbit may not register some parts of the activity. Additionally, the clasp can be hard on some hands and cause discomfort. The display also shows signs of instability and doesn’t always register the taps. Even though the majority of the reviews are positive, some experiences show that the Fitbit Alta is not the ideal fitness tracker.
The use of the Fitbit Alta and the management of the stats are done with a neat app that is available for both iOS and Android devices.

2. Garmin vívofit Fitness Band (Best Budget Product)
As most of the best fitness band models include GPS and tracking options, Garmin entered the market and one of their most successful products is Garmin vivofit, the fitness tracker with one of the best reviews and critical acclaim.
With the price of somewhere around $49 and with the set of features it currently offers, I doubt that you’ll find a better product. Yes, the design is not ideal, and you most likely will find better design if you look through the offers of the other brands. However, Garmin offers functionality and features like no other.
You will not only get a moving bar that will keep you motivated with red dots and lines when you are not active, but:
the fitness band is also water resistant and it has incredible battery life, more than 1 year!
Another impressing feature of vivofit is that it learns your activities and how you behave. Based on that it recommends its own goals that are personalized just for the users.
Regarding the counters, the vivofit has all the needed counters (steps, activity, minutes active etc.) and it also includes sleep tracking feature. The display is not one of the best in the business, but it still does the job smoothly. Built from sturdy material and with water resistant feature make the fitness tracker ideal for any circumstances.
Everything you do with the Garmin vivofit can be tracked with Garmin Connect, the app from Garmin that makes it lot easier to manage and overview the data.
Like in any product, Garmin couldn’t perform in all categories. Many users say that the band is comfortable at first, but then the shape and the strength change. The clap also gets released easily and this puts the question on the quality of the material used in the claps.

3. Fitbit Charge HR (A Complete PRODUCT)
Reviewed by tens of thousands of people on Amazon only, critically acclaimed, and frequently recommended in any search related to fitness bands, this top list must have included the Charge HR, produced by the best fitness band company: Fitbit.
At its core, this product fully fulfills the standards of Fitbit. It has the heart rate tracking, unbelievably sleek design. It is compatible with the most popular operating systems like Windows, iOS and Android. The community of the huge brand like Fitbit is incredible!
You can set challenges, chat, see their progress etc. (like you can do with the Alta too). Like the Alta, this one as well connects with many third-party fitness apps. You can track your sleep as well and have a solid battery life of 5 days.
The feel of the product is also incredible.
The ergonomics and the way it fits the wrist is a work of art. The LCD display looks cute and every function of the Fitbit Charge HR almost flawlessly. It is a tap and uses display which means you can see different data when you tap on it. Overall, the design is not overly attractive, but it stills look good with its nice curves and minimal style.
If you read the review till now carefully, you’ve probably thought, well this is the perfect wristband, why am I not buying it? Well, there are some flaws of the product that you need to know before the purchase.
Users reported that the material from the band started bubbling up after few months of usage. Additionally, small percentage reported discomfort while wearing and damages to the skin. The other problems that not only users but also tech media have reported, is the problem with the water resistance. The products stop working in water conditions like swimming.

4. Polar A360 Fitness Tracker (Best, But Most Expensive)
Polar A360 Fitness Tracker is maybe slightly better than most of the fitness trackers included in this list. However, with the price of almost $200, it is also the most expensive one. Although it can be argued that good products, don’t come cheap, the Polar A360 is not the best deal on this list. There are some better GPS trackers that can offer you the same functions. However, let’s see what it has the offer and why mostly it received great reviews from the users and the tech media websites like PC World, Tom’s Guide and ArsTehnica.
Being produced by such a serious fitness brand like Polar, the A360 was the first try in competing with the rivalry companies like Fitbit. They produced a great product, that can match the quality.
The smartwatch producers were practically destroyed when Polar introduced this product because it indeed looks like a great, beautiful smartwatch. It has the same features as you can connect it with your phones and it is more affordable than most of them. It has alarms, everything is synced automatically and it has a decent battery life.
There are mixed reviews, however, like in any other fitness band. Many users report that the band design is bad and it the face can easily pop out. On top of that, there are issues with the heart rate monitor (false data) and software synchronizations. Slow data synchronizations and issues with pairing with different mobile devices are the most frequent ones.
|Value for Money:|
UP2 Activity Tracker is one of the products of Jawbone with which this company is proudest with. However, with the mix reviews and tons of different experiences, it is hard to conclude that this is the best fitness and activity wristband on the market.
Although it has all the needed features of a good fitness band like tracking of activity and sleep, tracking of calories and different interesting features like the Smart Coach, lots of users are reporting different kinds of problems with it.
However, right at the start, you must realize that this is not a bad product. Simply, it is average and with the current price of $29 it most certainly worth trying. But, before making a buying decision read some of the features and info I think will be valuable to you.
The users that are favoring this product are praising its simplicity, functionality, price and the mobile apps.
I have used the apps and this product for a limited period of time, and I must say, that the apps are indeed amazing if you plan to get in shape fast and effectively.
The flaws of this product, however, are numerous, I’ve felt some of them on my skin. If you are able to bare with them, or if you do not experience them at all, then you will be lucky! The fact that it tends to fall from the wrist is the first issue. The display responsiveness is questionable too, some taps are not registered at all. The logs of mileage and sleeping are inconsistent. These are 3 major issues with this fitness band.

6. ELEGIANT Wireless Fitness Pedometer (BEST PRICE)
ELEGIANT Wireless Fitness Pedometer is a great, solid investment, especially because of the great price. The first thing I noticed when I got this product was the average packaging. It was generic, non-memorable and the instructions could be little clearer.
ELEGIANT definitely needs to work on this. It charges on USB port and it takes up to 30 minutes it needs to charge. After that you are all set. This great pedometer has all the tracking features and everything is controllable with the app to your phone.
The app works with simple press and swipe and I kind of loved that from the very start. The wireless tracker will track your steps and sleep. The app’s intuitiveness could’ve been improved, though. There is not much more to say about this fitness band other than it is great and it has outstanding battery life. It does the job well, but overall the features could’ve been combined better, the design is not exciting (little dated) and it is more for people that are not that active and just want to use or see how fitness bands work.
One thing that is worth mentioning is the software side.
The app is really smooth and easy to use and also ELEGIANT has great software compatibility features because it pairs easily with mobile devices.
There are several things that I didn’t like when I first used it. The packaging is the first one that kind of bothered me. The second one was the slight inaccuracy in some of my activities. On top of that, it lost Bluetooth connection several times.
On top of that it is built in a way that is slightly complicated, and even though I’m tech savvy, it still took me a long time to figure out what is what and what do I need to do to track my activities. With other words, interface and design should’ve been done better, which doesn’t mean that it can’t be improved.

7. Minhe I5 Plus Wireless Fitness Tracker (The Underdog Product)
That’s the case with Minhe I5 Plus Wireless Fitness Tracker, a product with one of the best-looking designs on this list, if not the best one! Best in terms of versatility and set of features, not overall best fitness band.
The design of this affordable fitness band is also amazing.
I loved the curves and the lines and the beautiful monitor. With the smart assistant features like vibrations when you have a call, message or something new on Twitter or Facebook, or the multi-tracker functions for tracking calories, distance, sleep and every activity, the Minhe I5 is all you need when you search for an affordable, solid fitness band.
On top of that, the fitness band has long battery life and is IP65 water resistant. Although this means that you need to remove it for swimming or showering because you may ruin it.
But the neatest feature of all these is the fact that it can be charged without the USB cable. The app has a small USB device that can be turned on to a computer and it will charge the 75mAh Lithium ion polymer battery. The charging is also relatively fast and easy.
It’s not all rainbows and sunshine with Minhe I5 Plus Wireless Fitness Tracker. This is because there are few features that not work properly. Then there is the issue with the design and how comfortable it feels on the hand. Also the built material feels little cheap when you wear it.
How about the quality?
The quality of the material and the long-term usability of the tracker is also questionable. This is because there aren’t too many reviews on the online retail stores and the website to judge rightfully on how the device will perform. From what it looks, this one has promising future.

8. Twinbuys Smart Wristband (The Cheapest Fitness Band)
As you may be noticed I kept the most questionable brands, with the best prices at the bottom of the list. That doesn’t mean that these fitness trackers are bad or low quality, but it means that they don’t have a long history, the brands are relatively not known and their products were not reviewed or used by many people.
However, based on many different real reviews, my experience and the experience of my brother I can easily say that Twinbuys Smart Wristband is a decent smart fitness band, and for the price, I can actually say that it is great, not decent!
One feature that backed me off, but then I realized that I don’t need, is the display. The Twinbuys is a basic wristband that doesn’t feature a display like all of the previous brands I mentioned. However, it has all the other features, packed in a smaller and lighter design, that you will practically not feel at all.
That is why it mostly has favorable reviews, it does the job as it should and it is easy to use.
One problem this wristband has is the battery life. Although it says 10 days + it has hard time maintain it for even few days. Another problem with the wristband is the design because it easily felt off few times while I used it and as I read and see many other users had that problem. The accuracy of the tracking is also questionable at times.

Guide – How to Pick the Best One
No matter which of these fitness bands becomes your new fitness pal, there are several things you need to reconsider before making your final purchase. I’ve used these fitness bands and I can guarantee the quality and durability. I’m not sure that everyone will enjoy the set of features, design or comfortability, but I can surely guarantee functionality.
This top fitness band list is a guarantee, but this doesn’t matter that you can buy some product that is not on the list. For these ones I can guarantee that you will get a good product, not so sure about other brands on models. But, let’s go with some final thoughts and the guide to pick the best ones for you.
Factor #1: The Price
Not always the most expensive one is the best one. This is a basic rule that also applies to this product category. My personal favorite, the Fitbit Alta is not the most expensive one on the list, but still, it is one of the most expensive fitness bands.
If you are on a budget, go with the Garmin vívofit, but if you are ok spending $100+ on a fitness band I would go with Fitbit Alta.
One thing I will always remember about the price is one thought from an experienced trainer. When people are in doubt about the certain goals, like the fitness goal, in this case, they should always invest the most money.
Why? – Because only in that way they will stay focused and determined to achieve the goal and get a return of the invested money.
I think that this advice can play a big part in achieving your fitness goals too. If you buy a $20 fitness band and you’ve never used a fitness band before, you will probably use it rarely and give up on your goal. But if you buy a $150+ fitness band, psychology will take its place, and you will remain active and use the band because you paid $150+ for that little item. This is just a simple technique to achieve your fitness goals.
Factor #2: The Features
Carefully read what is offered on the product’s page and also carefully read what I wrote. There are some parts or features of the bands that are not working as planned so you need to take that into consideration and determine what is important to you.
If the design or the comfort is the most important thing, then go with the best-designed product. If you are looking for waterproof fitness band that can also track sleep, search for that feature and see the real user reviews about how other people experienced those features or whether there were any problems.
Factor #3: The Brand
The brand is equally important as all previous parameters. Brands that are critically acclaimed and popular because of design, features, and quality should always be at top of your list. Fitbit is the biggest brand in the sports GPS and fitness tracking industry, and it is the brand I trust the most.
However, there are several great brands on this list as well, so find the ones that have products aligned with your taste, goals, and needs.
Factor #4: Return Policies
Try to ask questions or find answers from real users about the return policies. You may want to look this carefully as you may end up frustrated in situations where you receive a faulty item and still end up without your money because of strict return policies.
The price plays maybe the crucial role in making the right decision, but it doesn’t have to be the guarantee that you’ll get the best product. The features and the brand are equally important because they will define the final user experience. When you pick the brand and model, always check the guarantees and the return policy rules.
I think that I’ve included everything you want to know in getting the best fitness band. Let me know in the comments below, which fitness band did you choose, why and how was your experience?
